Cryptomegaphone Sponsored Content Policy

Last updated: November 19, 2025

Cryptomegaphone offers sponsored content opportunities to organizations operating in the blockchain, digital asset, fintech, and Web3 industries. We maintain strict editorial and ethical standards to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with both journalistic and advertising principles.

This policy explains how sponsored content is created, labeled, reviewed, and separated from our independent journalism.

1. What Is Sponsored Content?

Sponsored content is material paid for by a company, protocol, project, or organization. This includes:

  • Sponsored articles
  • Advertorials
  • Partner content
  • Branded content
  • Paid interviews or Q&A sessions
  • Paid reviews (rare, only if clearly labeled and disclosed)
  • Educational pieces funded by a partner

Sponsored content is not independent journalism.

It is produced by or in collaboration with the sponsor and published in a clearly designated area.

2. How Sponsored Content Is Labeled

To maintain transparency:

  • All sponsored content is clearly marked as “Sponsored”, “Partner Content”, or “Press Release”.
  • A disclosure appears at the top of the page.
  • A second disclosure appears at the bottom of the page.
  • Sponsored content uses a distinct design layout to differentiate it from editorial articles.

There is no ambiguity about whether an article is paid for.

3. Separation From Editorial Content

Cryptomegaphone maintains a strict division between editorial and commercial operations.

  • Sponsored content is handled by a commercial/content partnerships team.
  • Editorial staff do not write, edit, or influence sponsored content.
  • Sponsors have no control over editorial decisions, coverage, or tone of independent reporting.
  • Sponsored content does not impact news coverage about the sponsoring project or company.

This separation protects the integrity of our journalism.

4. Review & Compliance Standards

All sponsored content is reviewed before publication to ensure:

  • Accuracy
  • Absence of demonstrably false claims
  • Compliance with advertising and consumer-protection laws
  • Appropriate risk disclosures
  • No investment advice or misleading financial promises
  • No defamatory, illegal, or harmful statements
  • Transparency of any conflicts of interest

Cryptomegaphone reserves the right to reject or request revisions to any sponsored content.

5. Prohibited Sponsored Content

We do not accept sponsored content involving:

  • Investment advice, financial recommendations, or promised returns
  • Undisclosed token allocations, airdrops, or referral schemes
  • Illegal activities or high-risk financial schemes
  • Misleading claims about token performance
  • Projects under active criminal investigation
  • Content designed to manipulate markets or exploit users
  • Gambling, adult content, or unrelated offers

Projects with a history of fraud, rug pulls, or unresolved security issues may be rejected.

6. Content Ownership & Responsibility

Sponsored content:

  • Is supplied by the sponsor or written in collaboration with our commercial team
  • Reflects the sponsor’s views, not Cryptomegaphone’s
  • Is the responsibility of the sponsor to verify and approve
  • Must comply with intellectual property and copyright laws

Cryptomegaphone may edit for grammar, formatting, and structure — but not for promotional messaging.

7. Placement, Duration & Visibility

Sponsored content:

  • Is placed in clearly marked Sponsored or Press Release categories
  • May appear on the homepage in a marked sponsored section
  • May be promoted through social media with disclosure
  • Remains online indefinitely unless removed for legal or compliance reasons

We do not guarantee search ranking, editorial coverage, or permanent visibility.

8. Disclosure of Compensation

When Cryptomegaphone receives compensation for the creation or placement of content:

  • We disclose it clearly
  • We do not accept compensation in tokens, equity, or assets in lieu of monetary payment
  • For transparency, we avoid arrangements that may create conflicts of interest

Payments must be made in stable, traceable forms such as bank transfer, USDT, USDC, or equivalent.

9. Sponsored Interviews & Q&A

When interviews, AMA sessions, or Q&A features are paid:

  • They are labeled as Sponsored Q&A or Partner Interview
  • Questions may be pre-approved by the sponsor
  • Editorial staff do not participate in crafting promotional narratives

We distinguish these from independent editorial interviews, which are never paid.

10. Corrections to Sponsored Content

If sponsored content contains errors:

  • We allow reasonable revisions
  • Corrections are added with a timestamp
  • If content is demonstrably harmful or misleading, we may remove it
  • Removal does not entitle sponsors to refunds unless specified by contract

We prioritize user safety and factual integrity.

11. Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds are not provided after content is published, unless:

  • Cryptomegaphone fails to publish agreed content
  • Legal or regulatory reasons prevent publication

We may refuse or cancel orders that violate our policies.

13. Our Promise to Readers

Sponsored content helps support Cryptomegaphone’s operations, but:

  • It does not compromise our editorial independence
  • It is always clearly labeled
  • It never influences independent reporting
  • It must follow ethical and legal standards

We remain committed to honesty, transparency, and user protection.
